Gloucester City Council is keen to promote traditional sign writing for shops and businesses in the city. Like many people, they feel that it adds far more character and personality to a building than vinyl lettering.

The environment benefits too as the traditional materials used are also much kinder to the planet than cut out plastic lettering and its associated waste products.
